Tanzania is embarking on enrolling more farmers on a butterfly breeding program in order to capture a larger share of butterfly exports on the world market.The butterfly business is a relatively low investment, high return venture and can significantly raise income levels among small holder farmers. Currently locally bred butterflies are exported to the UK, US, Germany and France.
